OUR STORY

Celebrating 10 years of Gigi’s.

Born into a family with years of catering experience, it would seem that Luigi Pia was always destined for a future within the hospitality industry.  Starting his career at the young age of 12, Luigi worked under the stewardship of his grandfather in his Chip Shop which was later passed down to his father Silvo.  When the opportunity arose to open a restaurant in early 2010, along with his mother Marisa, Luigi left the Chip Shop and from there the story of Gigi’s began.

Delivering the finest Italian food

It goes without saying that the transition from Fish & Chips to a Fully Licensed Restaurant was an enormous task. Luigi, Marisa and the team had to work extremely hard to understand the core of their business in order for Gigi’s to become the success and household name it is today.

Being one of the first restaurants to open in Bonnyrigg, Gigi’s was a hit from the outset. Since 2010, Bonnyrigg has seen at least another five quality restaurants open nearby and the town has flourished with culture through these new local businesses. The opening of other restaurants in the area has always been welcomed by the Gigi’s team as the community continues to thrive and support one another.

We look forward to seeing you...

“On behalf of myself and all the Team, I’d like to say a massive thank you to each and every one of our customers who have shown their continued support to Gigi’s. I’m very much looking forward to our exciting re-opening following refurbishment later this month.”
